11/11/2020: The new hotel has been open for a few days and everyone is very proud, satisfied and relieved that everything went so well: from the demolition of the old guesthouse to the completed, new hotel. Here are some impressions from inside the hotel.

Due to the general situation, the hotel is currently only open to business travelers with an urgent travel reason. In any case, this applies to the whole of November 2020. We will report again on further developments.

First preview of the hotel rooms

Today we received the first visualization of our upcoming double rooms. This is a 3D rendering (computer generated photo). The double rooms are furnished in alpine style and have a bathroom with shower. The beds can be variably pushed together or apart to form a double bed or two separate beds. The air-conditioned rooms are equipped with a flat screen TV, a desk and a comfortable armchair. The equipment also includes a cloakroom and a wardrobe. The rooms are all accessible via an elevator. Both the hotel rooms and the public areas in the hotel allow free access to W-LAN.

The roof is covered!

There is news from the hotel. The roof is currently being covered and the hotel is slowly getting “color” with the tiles. Later on, wooden elements will follow on the facade so that the building blends in with the scenery next to the inn. Many thanks to Rolf Sander for the photos.

We continue to build lively. The progress can be seen from day to day. Last week on 07/21/2020, a sample room was set up in our house to see what the rooms will actually look like later.

The 2nd false ceiling!

The Hotel Grohnder Fährhaus on the Weser cycle path continues Contours. Today, Thursday, the second false ceiling will be build. Several cement mixers deliver the concrete, with it the ceiling of the upper floor can be completed. When the concrete has dried, it goes afterwards continue with the attic.

Hotel construction makes progress (January 2020)

There is a lot in motion on the hotel construction site: right at the start of the year, work on the upcoming 3-star superior hotel will continue as planned. Here are some impressions from the construction site as of January 7th, 2020.

We are currently about to have the first false ceilings built on the 1st floor.
